Source
Notes
[Farm Animal Welfare] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $330,157 to Ethical Seafood Research to support two main initiatives: free demonstrations and training sessions on pre-slaughter electrical stunning of farmed fish, and the development and publication of industry-specific best practices for pre-slaughter stunning in Egyptian tilapia farms. This follows our May 2023 support and falls within our focus area of farm animal welfare, specifically within our interest in fish welfare.
