International Vaccine Institute — Cholera Vaccine Clinical Trial

[Human Health and Wellbeing] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $2,500,000 over three years to the International Vaccine Institute (IVI) to support a phase I clinical trial of a conjugate vaccine for cholera. IVI will run the clinical trial in partnership with EuBiologics. The trial will be conducted in South Korea with a focus on safety and tolerability in humans, and will test different doses and formulations for the vaccine. This falls within our focus area of scientific research, and specifically within our interest in advancing human health and wellbeing.
