Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $99,000 over two years to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Selangor (SPCA Selangor) to support cage-free campaigns for layer and broiler hens in Malaysia, where millions of farmed birds are consumed each year. Since our October 2019 funding, SPCA Selangor has helped secure a number of major cage-free commitments. This falls within our focus area of farm animal welfare.
