[GiveWell-Recommended Charities] Note: This grant was awarded while the Open Philanthropy Project was a partnership between GiveWell and Good Ventures. Good Ventures awarded a grant of $1,000,000 to the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative (SCI) for general operating support in January 2016, in recognition of the organization's earning a "top charity" ranking from GiveWell in 2015.
