Evidence Action — In-Line Chlorination in Malawi

[GiveWell-Recommended Charities] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $4,449,309 to Evidence Action to support its in-line chlorination program in Malawi, which will install devices that automatically disinfect water at shared water collection points. This grant was made on GiveWell’s recommendation. See GiveWell’s page on this grant for more details. Note that GiveWell’s figure of “up to $5.6 million” includes a potential exit grant if GiveWell ends its support of this program. The grant amount was updated in March 2023.
