[Criminal Justice Reform] Grant investigator: Chloe Cockburn This page was reviewed but not written by the grant investigator. Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition staff also reviewed this page prior to publication. The Open Philanthropy Project recommended a grant of $200,000 to the Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition (CCJRC) to support its work on prosecutorial accountability, civic engagement, and crime survivor organizing. CCJRC plans to register and mobilize eligible voters who have a criminal record, are incarcerated, or are members of several target communities most impacted by over-criminalization; push for larger reforms; expand community-based services for victims; and raise community awareness of the power of prosecutors and the need for greater accountability. This discretionary grant is a renewal of our December 2016 support and falls within our focus area of criminal justice reform.
