Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $80,000 to Michigan Liberation to support its criminal justice reform work on prosecutor accountability. Michigan Liberation is a community organizing group that seeks to reduce incarceration by advocating for comprehensive criminal justice reform. This funding will help Michigan Liberation promote accountability and assist organizers in setting the context for reform-minded prosecutor candidates. This follows our December 2019 support and falls within our focus area of criminal justice reform.
