The Open Philanthropy Project recommended a grant of $52,000 to the Texas After Violence Project (TAVP) to support a research and video documentation project in collaboration with Texas Advocates for Justice. TAVP will record on-camera interviews with formerly incarcerated people to document the impacts of incarceration on their families and communities. These stories will be shared with the public and policy makers as part of systems change efforts. This grant will cover project planning, post-production, training and workshops, and travel expenses. This is a discretionary grant.
