Adekunle Ajasin University — Cryptosporidiosis Study

[Scientific Research] Open Philanthropy recommended a grant of $30,000 over five years to Adekunle Ajasin University to support a study on cryptosporidiosis, led by Dr. Oluwaremilekun Grace Ajakaye. Cryptosporidium is a microscopic, diarrhea-causing parasite that is common in developing countries. This grant will support a study of children in various regions of Nigeria in order to learn more about the current extent of the problem and inform future mitigation strategies. This falls within our focus area of scientific research, specifically within our interest in advancing human health and wellbeing.
