You don’t have to complete the above items before submitting your application. We welcome applicants who are in the process of familiarizing themselves with EA and can communicate 1) their understanding of effective altruism and 2) why they would like to get involved.
If you have any prior experience or demonstrable interest in global health and wellbeing, animal welfare, or global catastrophic risks (e.g., biosecurity, AI safety, extreme climate change, nuclear weapons), it would be a good idea to highlight it in your application.
