 Our team brings together accomplished innovators from academia, entrepreneurship and non-profits. We've founded successful ventures, led major enterprises, and shaped and executed transformative strategies.

 President

 Vilhelm Skoglund

 Ville is President of Astralis , where he leads funder relationships. He is also on the Board of FROS Foundation and runs a Swedish family office. Previously, he co-founded Impact Academy , which prepares young talent to address catastrophic risks and served on the board of various non-profits. Ville studied law, developmental economics, and sustainability at Uppsala University and Cornell University.

 CEO

 Jona Glade

 Jona provides strategic counsel on AI safety to key decision-makers while serving as CEO of Astralis and cFactual. Overall, he has led over 20 strategic initiatives focused on AI safety and high-impact philanthropy. He also serves on the Board of Longview Philanthropy. Previously, he was a consultant at BCG during which he founded Consultants for Impact . Jona studied organizational psychology at the University of Vienna.

 Abraham Rowe

 Abraham  specializes in nonprofit operations and scaling organisations, previously serving as COO at  Rethink Priorities  where he grew the team from 10 to 100+ staff. He founded  Good Structures , an operations consultancy, works with  cFactual , and co-founded  Wild Animal Initiative . Abraham holds a history degree from Oberlin College.

 Tim Shavers

 Tim leads our grantmaking and Shared Horizons Fund, while also advising Halcyon Ventures, our partner fund investing in impact-first for-profits. Previously Tim was nearly 20 years with McKinsey and more than a decade in venture capital, in New York and Hong Kong. A Harvard and Yale Law graduate, Tim sits on the board of Rethink Priorities and has supported policy and nonprofit work for more than three decades.

 Henri Thunberg

 Henri joins Astralis having worked as a Development Officer at Rethink Priorities and served on Impact Academy's board. He previously founded two Nordic organizations: Bigheart, an app enabling charitable giving through ad revenue, and Ge Effektivt , a nonprofit advising on effective donations, where he serves as Board Chairman. Henri holds a degree in International Economics from Bocconi University.

 Executive Assistant and Operations Associate

 Nathaniel Andreae

 Nat brings experience in research and writing, including work with The Cricketer and The Times. A graduate of Durham University, he holds a first-class Philosophy degree and was a research intern at The Office of David Cameron.
