There is now a crucial window of opportunity to shape the course of AI and biosecurity — to harness the untold positive potential of new technologies while mitigating the extreme risks they also pose. Significant progress has been made in recent years, with the UK becoming a world leader in AI safety and announcing an ambitious biosecurity strategy in 2023. There remains, however, a huge amount of work to do and we look forward to sharing our next report with you for this present year.
