 I’m a 5th year Computer Science PhD candidate at Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, where I’m advised by Profs. Cynthia Dwork and Ariel Procaccia.

 These days, I mostly think about “compute governance”: how to govern the development of AI systems by focusing on the specialized chips needed to build them.

 I spent 2021-2022 working on AI policy at Schmidt Futures. Before my PhD, I did my BS (‘16) and MEng (‘18) in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at MIT, where I wrote my thesis on model-based RL. My finest hour at the ‘tvte was when my executive team of Dormitory Council hotshots did what no student government had managed in the history of MIT, finally persuading The Administration to put soap in the bathrooms .
